Incident date: 11/25/11 1:54a.m.
Hwy 18 at Brown School Rd - Fennimore Township

On 11/25/11 at around 1:54a.m., Deputy Miller observed a 2006 Dodge Charger traveling east on HWY 18 in City of Fennimore. After a registration check showed the registered owner was revoked, Deputy Miller stopped the vehicle. After contact was made with the driver, Dawn M Herfel, Mt Horeb, it was found that she had been consuming intoxicants. Field sobriety tests were given, and it was determined that her ability to operate a vehicle was impaired. She was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated. Herfel was transported to Grant Regional Health Center for a legal Blood Draw then booked in the Grant County Jail on charges of Operating While Intoxicated 6th Offense, Operating without an Ignition Interlock Device, and Operating While Revoked.
