The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office is releasing the name of the female that died in the single vehicle traffic crash yesterday in the Town of Albion. The crash occurred on STH 51 near CTH W at 7:30 AM. The unrestrained female was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The female can be identified as:
Ms. Cantrell’s death is the result of the injuries she sustained in the crash. Toxicology testing is underway but there is no indication that alcohol is involved.
This case remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office

Madison, WI. June 13, 2012 – At 7:30 am Dane County Sheriff Deputies along with Wisconsin State Patrol, Stoughton Fire and EMS responded to Hwy 51 at Hwy W in the Town of Albion for a one vehicle rollover crash.
A 45 year old woman was traveling eastbound on Hwy 51 in a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. According to witness statements, the woman drifted onto the eastbound shoulder of the road. She turned the vehicle to return to the roadway but over corrected into the westbound lane. She attempted to turn back into the eastbound lane when the vehicle started to roll over.
The woman was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Hwy 51 was closed in both directions between Hwy A and Washington Rd. from 7:30 am to 10:00 am while deputies investigated the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office. The identity of the deceased female will be released by the Medical Examiner’s Office pending notification of family members.
