High Point Road/Old Sauk Road. We have SO many taking the bus from our location, yet they DON'T put any more buses on and shove people in like sardines. Most drivers are not in tune with hot and cold...I nearly pass out if it's hot outside (no air...let's let the roof open! Great for us with allergies and asthma.) or freeze if it's cold out (no heat on). Another point, it demeans us to have to sit in a stinky bus with filthy windows inside and out. I hardly want to touch anything. One time the driver get out and stand on the bus to clean the window himself - - - this was in the am so you know they don't clean. I guess this is not UPS!! It's quite disgusting. Anyone else who feels the same, post your comments here.

I think it's time that we had a real alternative to the bus system. Every few years (been here for 11 years), Madison Metro changes its routes in hopes of making getting around Madison better. But it doesn't. What Madison needs is a subway system that would not only get you around Madison but also the surrounding areas (Middleton, Beloit, Janesville, Sun Prairie, Stoughton, and maybe even cities further away). The Madison Metro can then actually focus on a route system that will work for them and save them money. It would also be a dose of healthy competition for Madison Metro. I know I would use both-the Metro on weekdays to work and the subway on weekends. People from Middleton could come enjoy Downtown Madison without worrying about parking and I could go shop in Middleton without needing my unreliable car. And I believe other cities and towns would be willing to financially contribute because they would get the benefit of mass transit without the noise and smog.
