Video games were all the rage for the 2007 holiday Christmas season.
But what can we expect in 2008?
Christine Bellport shows us in this week's Hot Trends.
Happy New Year and happy new gaming to everyone. I say everyone because the times are changing and the people playing video games are changing too.
According to Aaron Conklin who tracks video games and writes for the Wisconsin State Journal, The Nintendo Wii helped get people of all ages interested in video games. From kids to grandparents.
Conklin says, "I think it's more than just the Nintendo Wii. It's just the whole motion of casual gaming -- discovering that they really are a lot of fun."
He says the Wii Fit is coming out this year. It has a balance board to stand on to perform some of the games encouraging you to get exercise while entertaining yourself.
Also a new trend ...
Movie and games are moving closer together. Movies have the ability to grab you emotionally.
2008 should provide a lot to see and do in the world of video games.
