Back in the 30's and 40's, a good-looking woman was called a Betty! And that's where they got the name for the second hand store "Betty Bling" on South Gammon Road.

When you check out "Betty Bling" you can see why the store has such a catchy name. This is where you will find designer names at amazing discounts.

Now for some, there may be a stigma about shopping at a second hand or consignment clothing store:

"Definitely, there has been and there probably is with some people, but with the economy the way it is, I think it is a very wise way to shop," says June Stenner, co-owner of Betty Bling.

Not only do they have designers suits and jackets, they also have shoes which include the likes of Prada and Ralph Lauren. They're sold for a third what they cost new.

"After they have been in the store for 60 they start going on sale from there and they go up to 75% off so you can really walk out of here with a lot of merchandise for just a little bit of money."

And some of the clothes & jewelry have never been worn, they still have their tags on them.

Christine Bellport: "I paid 40 dollars for a Bloomingdale's suit that had never been worn and these authentic Ralph Lauren shoes are new. I paid about 7 dollars for them."
