UPDATE: Town of Verona Fire

UPDATED Monday, April 9, 2012 --- 12:35 p.m.

From the Dane County Sheriff's Department:

The preliminary report of damage by the fire at County Materials yesterday has been downgraded, and the building is not considered a total loss. County Materials is continuing to perform business as usual today.

From the Dane County Sheriff's Department:

At approximately 1:45 p.m., Dane County Sheriff’s deputies, along with fire departments from Verona, Fitchburg, and Oregon were dispatched to a building on fire at 6399 Nesbitt Road in the Town of Verona.

Individuals at County Materials were using a torch to dismantle some equipment.

The equipment caught fire, which spread to the roof and other areas of the building.

The building is considered a total loss.

Estimated damages are not available at this time.

No one was injured in the incident.
