BROOKFIELD--One name guaranteed to be on the ballot for governor this June is Dr. Hari Trivedi.
At this point you may be saying to yourself "who"?
That's why we sat-down with him to learn more: "I'm ready to step right in, I'm ready to be sworn-in yesterday," said Dr. Trivedi. A medical doctor and professor, he's originally from India, though he said he and his wife have lived in this country for more than 20 years.
"I've got three boys and I've married to my wife for more than 23 years," he said.

Dr. Trivedi places himself in the middle of the political spectrum and is running as an Independent this June. And while he's never held elected office, he insists voters should take his candidacy seriously.
"I have a fact-based pragmatic approach," he said. "Weigh the issue on its merit not whether it's a liberal viewpoint or a conservative viewpoint."

You may not know much about him, but you may recognize him from a campaign ad he ran during this year's Super Bowl. He said thus far he's pretty much been financing his campaign himself, though is now reaching out to potential donors for help.

"Our strategy is to, you know town hall meetings, travel through the state, meet people, you know disseminate my ideas," he said, of his campaign plan between now and June.

Dr. Trivedi said he's always been interested in politics--he even made a brief run in 2010--but dropped out and didn't appear on the ballot. As for why he's jumping into the recall ruckus this year: he's had it with the country's recent gridlock and polarization. "This has to stop, not in Wisconsin, not in my backyard, this trickles down through all the states," he said.

Dr. Trivedi said if he's elected, he intends to call a special legislative session to outline his vision and plan.
