So you are comparing dogs, animals...to children. Do you have a brain in that head of yours?

She WAS my roommate. She told me she got this dog from a friend. I didn't suspect anything. Then I saw a picture of the SAME dog on Facebook. I called her out on it. We served her to the police on a GOLDEN PLATTER and she still got released and all charges dropped. I don't understand.

everyone keeps saying you shouldnt leave a dog unattended in a car because you wouldnt leave a child unattended in a car. so just where do you judgementmental people think the dog should be left. home unattended? do you people leave your children home alone unattended? quit worrying about others peoples business and remember this happened because she reached her hand in someones locked car and stole the dog!!!

What about police K-9's? They're not taken out of the car 100% of the time.

Would be best not to leave a dog unattended in a vehicle, any more than one should not leave a child unattended in a vehicle. With more care, this would not have happened to begin with. Evenso, the loser who stole the dog is a criminal and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I applaud the dog's owner for making generous donations to worthy animal welfare organizations. So glad to hear that the puppy is found and well.

Reality is that she won't get jail time but at a minimum she definitely needs to do community service at an animal shelter and pay a fine.

what kind of person has the heart to do this. to be realistic though, if she is a first time offender, likely no jail, just probation and a fine...even though she deserves jail time.

I was elated when Mr. Forde was reunited with his puppy Blake. I'm assuming the puppy showed no signs of abuse or neglect, and is doing well with his family. Alot of unanswered ?? as to why this person would steal someone else's pet out of a locked car! Reward money?? How was she to know that a reward would even be posted? I am sure that alot of people are wondering the same thing; WHY? I do hope more information is presented to the public as this case moves forward. Bless Mr. Forde for giving the reward money to a wonderful cause. In regard to the "thief", I do hope she is made to do community service at the Humane Society. Let her see all the beautiful, unwanted, loving animals that need caring homes. If she indeed wants her own "furry family", and can provide properly for that pet, then the Humane Society can show her the way. Mr. Forde should also have a say in her "punishment", he is the one that suffered the heartache. Community service at the Humane Society for sure.

They need to allow dog owners deal with animals like this person! She is not fit to walk in the civilized comunittee.

I hope she has to spend much time in jail for doing this.I Did not see the news, but it better have been a pretty good reason. Other than that she should not have stolen it and hopes she gets her time in jail. I hope she did not abuse the puppy either while she had it? That would be even worse!
