SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Jeff Suppan led the San Diego Padres to a 5-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers yesterday, while pitching his first game since 2010. Suppan limited the Brewers to four single sin five innings. Yovani Gallardo took the loss for Milwaukee, which has dropped five of their last seven games.

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Milwaukee media outlets are reporting Brewers first baseman Mat Gamel needs surgery for a torn knee ligament. Gamel was injured chasing a foul ball in Tuesday's game against San Diego. He is expected to miss a significant amount of the season.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Jered Weaver pitched a no-hitter last night in the Los Angeles Angels' 9-0 rout of the Minnesota Twins. Weaver finished with nine strikeouts and just one walk. Twins starter Liam Hendriks took the loss after giving up six runs in two-plus innings.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Danny Granger scored 26 points last night as the Indiana Pacers beat the Orlando Magic 97-74 to take a 2-1 lead in their opening-round series. Roy Hibbert added 18 points and ten rebounds for the Pacers. Game 4 is Saturday in Orlando.
