PHOENIX (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers are in Phoenix to begin a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Brewers will send Yovani Gallardo to the hill in the series-opener tonight against Arizona's Ian Kennedy. Milwaukee has won just three of its last 11 games.

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Ty Wigginton's eighth-inning home run helped the Philadelphia Phillies beat the St. Louis Cardinals 10-9 last night. Wigginton, Freddy Galvis, Placido Polanco and Carlos Ruiz each had three hits for the Phillies, who had a season-high 18. Yadier Molina, Matt Holliday and David Freese homered for the Cardinals.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Susie Wheldon has accepted her late husband's Indianapolis 500 ring. Dan Wheldon won last year's Indy 500 before he was killed in an accident at IndyCar's season-ending race at Las Vegas. Susie Wheldon said yesterday that she was honored to accept the ring on behalf of her family.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- The Miami Heat have advanced to the Eastern Conference finals after beating the Indiana Pacers 105-93 last night. Dwyane Wade scored 41 points and LeBron James added 28 for the Heat, who will face either Boston or Philadelphia in the next round. David West led the Pacers with 24 points and George Hill put up 18.
