UPDATE: Eau Claire High School Grad Killed in Combat

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- Gov. Chris Christie has ordered flags at all state buildings to be flown at half-staff to honor a fallen Navy lieutenant.
The flags will be lowered Monday in tribute Christopher E. Mosko. The 28-year-old died during combat operations in Afghanistan late last month.
Flags were flown at half-staff in New York last month to honor Mosko, who was assigned as a Navy Ordnance Disposal Platoon Commander to the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force. He was stationed in San Diego.
Mosko went to high school in Wisconsin and was a 2007 graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) -- A Navy lieutenant who was killed in Afghanistan is being remembered in the Wisconsin city where he attended high school.
Twenty-eight-year-old Christopher Mosko was one of three U.S. troops killed by a bomb Thursday. While the Defense Department lists him as being from the Rochester, N.Y., suburb of Pittsford, his family says they lived there for several years but that he was born in Philadelphia and was living in San Diego, where his unit was based.
Mosko was a 2002 graduate of Eau Claire Memorial High School who participated in soccer, swimming and show choir. The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram reports that his family moved away not long after he graduated, but that he's still remembered by residents who knew him then as a well-rounded student and passionate soccer player.

ALBANY, N.Y. - The Defense Department says a sailor from western New York has been killed in combat in Afghanistan.
Navy Lt. Christopher Mosko, 28, from the Rochester suburb of Pittsford was killed in Ghazni province Thursday, the Pentagon said.
NATO had previously said three U.S. troops were killed in a bomb attack in that region, but it wasn't immediately clear if Mosko was among them.
According to a family friend, Mosko was a 2002 graduate from Memorial High School in Eau Claire.
Mosko was active in swimming, soccer and show choir among other activities.
The Defense Department said Mosko commanded an explosives disposal platoon with the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force.
He was stationed in San Diego.
The unit is responsible for dealing with unexploded ordnance and improvised explosive devices.
