Today we take a look at foods you wouldn't realize are high in sugar!
This is from a study by the experts at web MD.
The most important finding was that claims of whole grain, fat free, or 100 percent juice do not mean it's not a sugary product.
Here is a list of the biggest offenders:
1. Canned or Packaged Fruit- cups or cans of fruit even in "light" syrup and apple sauce (go for the stuff that says "natural" for less sugar)
2. Pudding & Pudding Cups, even those with 100 calories. Those have 17 grams of sugar!
3. Cereal Bars & Healthy-Sounding Cookies with words like oatmeal and natural grain.
4 and most interesting-- Bottled Spaghetti Sauce and barbecue sauce!
