Many of you are probably familiar with holding off hungry kids, wishing you had something to give them that won't spoil their appetite for dinner.
Parenting magazine has five healthy and easy ideas.
Number 1:
Real fruit roll-ups. It's a serving of fruit and fun to eat so it takes a little time.
Number 2: peanut butter with apple slices.
Number 3:
String cheese. Also a fun one to eat with a lot of protein and there are low-fat versions too.
Number 4:
Yogurt. There are many out there these days with favorite characters and fun flavors.
Number 5:
Carrots and dip. Especially if you don't mind stocking up on the pre-packaged baby carrots.
