The post office wants to remind you about their big food drive as you plan your grocery shopping this week. The largest-one-day food drive in the nation is this upcoming Saturday.
Last year, the Postal Service collected more than 73 million pounds of food. Wisconsin residents donated more than 2 point 3 million pounds in 2008.
Now the postal service is setting a new goal of 2 point 75 million for the Badger state, that's about a 20 percent increase! So they want to get the word out early, and are asking you to leave nonperishable food next to your mailbox Saturday.
