Family First: Your Habits Making You Sick

We germophobes love these kinds of stories the top bad habits in your house that are making you sick. It comes from the site WebMD.com and it may surprise you!

First, we head to the kitchen... the dirtiest room in every body's home, according to experts. Your sponge is a huge culprit, largely because we deal with dead animal carcasses on our counter tops and in the sink.
Instead of cleaning the germs it spreads them. Experts recommend, instead, dipping your sponge into a solution of bleach and water before using it. You can also microwave it for a few minutes every week.

The second thing that actually makes you sick is vacuuming! All that dirt and dust passes right back into the air. The solution? Look for a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter that stops it.

Number three is your pillow and mattress. We've heard this one before a mattress actually doubles its weight every 10 years because of the accumulation of human hair, bodily secretions, dust, etc.

Number four is a summertime staple - grilling meat. Barbecuing meat creates cancer-causing compounds but you can prevent it by using tin foil on the grill.
