We have a very special garage sale to tell you about. A long-time Madison resident named Bridget, only 31 years old, was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. Bridget and her family recently moved to the state of Oregon but her friends here are hoping to help in her battle.
So they're hosting a benefit garage sale. It's at 4001 Drexel Avenue on the corner of Davidson. The sale is tomorrow, Saturday June 27th, and it runs from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. All proceeds will go to Bridget Zinn and her husband.
They lived in Madison for 10 years and are both U-W graduates. Bridget had surgery to remove the tumor from her colon and is going through chemo now to remove more tumors found on her liver and lungs. The trouble was her health insurance, it doesn't cover most of the treatment she needs.
