Some disturbing news for parents whose kids go to school near a fast food restaurant.

According to a report we found in Parenting Magazine, a new study found that kids whose schools are less than a half-mile from a fast food place are more likely to be overweight or obese than those who don't have a burger and fry joint nearby.

They also eat fewer fruits and vegetables and drink more soda. The experts at parenting say it's likely because those fast food places make it so easy for those kids to hang out before and after school where they snack and eat meals.

The same article talked about what happens to kids who are allowed to watch T-V while eating. Apparently they eat more than 200 extra calories than those who don't!
