Family First: "Project Snowflake"

Posted: Wednesday, December 16, 2009 --- 5:27 a.m.

Just in time for the typical torturous Wisconsin winter weather, we're hoping to get you to watch water skiiers?

The Mad City Water Ski Team is "warming up" to hit the water this coming Saturday.

They're teaming up with skipper buds to brave the ice cold waters of Lake Monona to support American Family Children's Hospital.

They're holding a show off John Nolen Drive near the Monona Terrace and they're calling it "Project Snowflake."

20 ski team members will perform all kinds of stunts like pyramids, ballet skiing and barefoot.

Of course they'll have to be in special suits and gloves that keep the water from getting in.

The best part? If you're brave enough and want a water ski run of your own, it's only $35.

Again, the show, called "Project Snowflake" is this Saturday, December 19th, at noon.

It's at Monona Terrace and all proceeds go to the American Family Children's Hospital.
