In Family First today, a website where you can learn more about germs and how to kill them off around your house.
It's parenting.com.
They call it the "germ factory" and you can click on a room and it will highlight areas that you need to focus on.
So many of us clean a room like the kitchen and quit after the dishes and stove-top.
But one area this site points out is the cutting board - suggesting we never use the same one for meat and veggies.
Also, sponges and dish towels. Microwaving your sponges for 30 seconds a week to kill off germs is one idea, plus cleaning your faucet handles daily!
Second, is the bathroom.
The toilet is a place we clean often, but what about the handle to the toilet and the door handle to leave the bathroom?
Also, the handle and container for your soap dispenser is a must!
The parenting.com site also shows where you should focus on a baby's nursery, especially important when you're trying to keep things like H1N1 from your newest family members.
