Doctors say to lay your baby on their back for sleeping, to prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). But, if they aren't turned over for other activities, their skulls could become permanently misshapen.
That's where the DOC Band comes in. It weighs just 6 ounces, and re-shapes a baby's skull before they become too hard to mold.
Doctors have a new mantra to remember: "back to sleep and front to play."
The total cost of the DOC Band plus weekly visits is about $4,000, which usually isn't covered by insurance.
