It's the only youth chartered credit union in the world and it's right here in Madison!

Star Credit Union, located inside the Boys and Girls Club, is teaching kids financial literacy. Kids participate in activities like Teller of the Day, Saver of the Month and other programs to help them navigate through the financial world. They can also open a savings account at the credit union.

"It's like good to put money inside the credit union because you could save a lot of money," says Quantez Williams.

"Some of them know what CD's are. A lot of them know how to write checks. They know how to balance their accounts. They know their balances. They are very amazing in their financial knowledge," according to Star Credit Union Manager Shannon Griswold.
