Missing Fisherman's Body Recovered Save Email Print

NECEDAH, Wis. (AP) -- The body of a 50-year-old fisherman reported missing in the Petenwell Flowage has been recovered.

Juneau County sheriff's officials say the town of Necedah man apparently had been trying to retrieve his boat after it drifted away from shore. The county's dispatch center received the report of a missing fisherman at 5:53 a.m. Monday.

The body was recovered about 4:30 p.m. in the area of a boat landing in the town of Armenia.

The man's name hasn't been released, and the incident remains under investigation.

man thats horrible. too many people died over the holliday weekend in my opinion. hope all the familys can stick together and stay well. so much sadness in the news last 5 days.

I out and boat on that lake. It is a very big lake for that matter and that would be the perfect place to go missing. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
