Parents and guardians of Madison School District students who ride yellow school buses can now see their children’s school bus routes online.

The listing is easy to find HERE,
then go to Back to School, then go to Bus Route Schedules. The routes are listed by school, to make it easier for parents to find their students’ routes.

If parents or guardians do not have access to the MMSD website, they can pick up their children’s bus schedules at their school.

The online bus route listing for each school contains the morning pick-up locations, the first stop time and the drop-at-school time. At the end of the school day, school buses depart school about 5 - 8 minutes after dismissal time, and generally run the same route sequence as in the morning.

Elementary students are transported on buses if they live more than 1.5 miles from their school or if walking, they would be in an “area of unusual hazards” for which criteria apply.

For Metro bus routes (middle and high schools), parents and students should get that information from their school, or go to Metro's school day service Web site or call 266-4466.

this is done so the school district can share buses between schools. I think that it is pretty smart.

All the elementary schools have the same length of day. The early start schools go from 7:45 to 2:32, the late start schools go from 8:30-3:17..

Does anyone know why the schools on the west side have longer school days?

What did they say?
