To get into the Badger hockey game this Saturday night, you'll need a ticket and a lot of patience.
"With volleyball, hockey, football, it is truly, probably one of the craziest weekends we'll have," said Catheryn Pierce, UW Transportation Services.
Hockey is the last of three major sporting events taking place on the UW campus Saturday.
Add the tens of thousands of partiers from Halloween on State Street, and you have what some are calling the "perfect storm" of events.
A situation that will not be easy to navigate, according to UW parking coordinator Catheryn Pierce.
"We are trying to get the message out to people to come early to the hockey game," said Pierce. "Give yourself enought time, because east and west bound traffic crossing State Street, to our knowledge, will be closed off by 6 pm."
Pierce says they'll be opening hockey lots at 2 in the afternoon, instead of the usual 3:30.
If you plan on leaving your car at home and going in a cab, that won't be easy either.
Badger Cab's Tom Royston says every vehicle in their fleet will be ready to go and they'll still be stretched to the limit.
"Way more than we'd like to see," said Royston. "We'd like to see maybe the football game one Saturday and Halloween the next."
Royston says there will be cab stands at three points across downtown Madison waiting for riders.
One on Wisconsin just north of the Capital ... another on Frances and Johnson, near State Street ... and another just east of the Memorial union.
Otherwise, he says you'll just have to be patient on a day when there are no good times, to be moving around.
"I would say the worst times will probably be from 7 am until about 4 am the next morning."
