If you voted in Dane County you found Bob Ohlsen's name on the ballot. He was reelected to his post as county clerk, he ran unopposed, but won none-the-less. However, Ohlsen has plenty of post-election headaches to deal with.

The day before the election, Bob Olhsen predicted a 60-percent voter turnout in Dane County, "I was a percentage point off," he says.

The county clerk also anticipated long lines at the polls, "We suspected that would happen," says Ohlsen.

But his intuition stopped there. "That is kind of beyond my comprehension that it would happen," he says. "We've never had an instance of a bomb scare certainly and I can't think of anything other than a power outage that was an issue."

Voting at Madison East High School shut down for about an hour and a half. A temporary polling place was eventually set up outside the building, and by early afternoon voters were back inside.

Ohlsen says safety issues at the polls need to be addressed, "We want to make sure all the local municipalities do have something in place."

But Ohslen's worries don't stop there.

"The attorney general's race is close, the state treasurer is close and then the 47th Assembly District," he says.

Ohlsen says that would be a lot of work.

"We will go through the 216-thousand ballots that voted," It's a process Ohlsen says would take about a week, "That's huge here."

But these days, the second term clerk, says it's all in a day's work. "Nothing really surprises me anymore, I've been in this business too long."

As far as those possible recounts go. No official decisions have been announced. A recount request can only be made by a candidate.
