Attorney general hopeful Kathleen Falk finally concedes she lost the race, 2 weeks after the election was held.
Unofficial returns on election night showed Republican JB Van Hollen defeated Falk by more than 9,000 votes. Falk, a Democrat, refused to say she had lost at that time, saying she wanted to see the official results.
George Dunst, an attorney for the state Elections Board, says the official canvass likely won't be complete until next week. But so far the board hasn't seen any major discrepancies that would suggest Falk made up the difference.
Falk issued a statement Tuesday saying she doesn't intend to ask for a recount.
