2 UW-Stout football players are among four men arrested in a drug investigation.

Police say they seized cocaine, marijuana and several thousand dollars in cash when executing search warrants at two homes.

Chief Dennis Beety says one of the players arrested, senior linebacker Luke Steffen of Greenwood, told investigators his home was used to buy, sell and use steroids.

Also arrested is junior reserve linebacker Nicholas OrRico of Lodi.

Assistant Chief Christopher Langlois says the arrest and search of the homes last Friday followed a month long investigation by the West Central Drug Task Force that involved use of an informant who made drug boys for police.

UW-Stout spokesman Doug Mell says the other men arrested are two brothers, ages 25 and 21. He says one if a former student and football player.

Criminal charges have not yet been filed against any of the men.

Steffen was a first-team, all-conference defensive player at UW-Stout, which finished the season at 3-7.
