Portage police are looking for a man who may be videotaping children in the area.
Three 10-year-old children reported seeing a man, 30-to-40 years old, with facial hair, dark hair and glasses with a video camera on Saturday and Tuesday.
The man was in a white car, possibly a 2004 white Chevrolet Monte Carlo with tinted windows and detailing.
When the children started to approach the car, the man drove away.
If you've seen the car or have any information, you're asked to call Portage Police.

Thank you Fraggle for your legal insight. We're all so worried about whether it's legal to take a picture of someone, that we forgot to worry about whether our children are in danger from someone who has absolutely no business video taping our kids.

One sentence above all others jumped out at me: "When the children started to approach the car, the man drove away". By approaching, were they moving to a point where they could get a license number of the car?
