It's out with the old and in with the new at the City County Building.
More than a half dozen newly or re-elected county officials took their oath of office this morning.
Among those is Kristi Chlebowski, who is the new Register of Deeds.
Re-elected officials include DA Brian Blanchard and Coroner John Stanley.
Also taking a new role is Dave Mahoney, who takes over Gary Hamblin's position as Sheriff for Dane County.
Sheriff Mahoney says he's looking forward to continuing where Hamblin left off.
Mahoney says, "To grow, with our partners in the city of Madison and all of our law enforcement partners throughout Dane county. To ensure the highest quality of public safety, which makes Dane county a great county to live, work and raise our families."
Sheriff Mahoney has worked with the Dane County Sheriff's department for 26 years.
