Authorities are looking into the cause of a fatal head-on collision in Dane County.
It happened around 12:30 Wednesday morning on I-94 near Cottage Grove.
The state patrol says as authorities were responding to a report of a car traveling west in the eastbound lanes, the westbound car hit an eastbound car head-on.
Both drivers, 56-year-old Janice Andrea of Cottage Grove and 24-year-old Nicole Davis of Lake Mills were killed.
It's not known if alcohol was a factor.
