Computers, discs and videos are just some of the items seized during a raid at a Janesville home during a child pornography investigation. That raid took place in late January. On Wednesday, the Rock County man accused of sexual assault of a child appeared in court. Terry Ruben is facing life in prison on a variety of charges.
The 54-year-old was initially charged wtih possession of child pornography. Now he is also facing eight additional charges, including sexual assault, involving the same boy.
Police say the teen's mother had found a note in the washing machine, linking her son to Ruben. Court documents say authorities seized nearly 3,000 DVD's, two digital cameras, fifty videotapes and 150 floppy disks with sexually explicit material from the man's bedroom.
On Wednesday, Ruben waived his right to a preliminary hearing. He is out on bail. He is expected to enter a plea to the remaining charges next week.
