Madison Declares Snow Emergency

The City of Madison is under a snow emergency until at least 7am Tuesday. This means alternate side parking restrictions are in effect throughout the city, including the downtown/isthmus snow emergency zone.

Madison residents are asked to move all vehicles from the street, if possible. Residents who must park on the street Sunday evening should park on the even house numbered side of the street. Vehicles parked on the street Monday, February 26th should be parked on the odd house numbered side of the street.

Violations of the rules are punishable by a fine of 20-dollars outside the snow emergency zone and 30-dollars inside.

Parking is available in the cashiered sections of the city-owned ramps in the downtown area. During a declared snow emergency, you can park for no charge at the city ramps from 1am until 7am. If you leave after 7am you are liable for any parking charges from 7am until the time you leave.
