No Injuries Reported in Grocery Store Roof Collapse

Brookfield police say there are no injuries in the collapse of part of the roof at a Pick n' Save grocery store. But, they're worried about the danger of further sections giving way.

Captain Jim Adlam says the ceiling is still creaking a bit. Adlam says the weight of the heavy snow may have caused the collapse, but that will officially be determined later.

Police are reviewing the store's video tapes, but Adlam says they're confident everyone exited safely.

Pick n' Save employee Joe Foltz says a crackling sound could be heard before the roof gave way. He helped get people out through an emergency exit.

Jeff Dunn was in the checkout line when he heard a huge crashing noise and saw the section over the cereal aisles come down.

Dunn says he heard people screaming and when he turned to run to the exit, glass fell at a entry door.

We Energies arrived on the scene to shut off the gas.
