The jury trial for a babysitter accused of causing the death of a 3-year-old girl begins this week.
31-year-old Susan Wilk is charged with one count of first degree reckless homicide in the death of Mercedes Caflisch.
Prosecutors say Caflisch died in November 1999 at a Baraboo hospital after spending the previous night at Wilk's home.
Videotaped testimony shows the toddler's older sister saying Wilk kicked the girl in the stomach before she died.
The trial starts Monday in Sauk County Circuit Court.
