TAYLOR SWIFT REPORTEDLY CRASHED KENNEDY WEDDING

UNDATED (AP) -- Kathie Lee Gifford is backing up the story that Taylor Swift and her boyfriend crashed a Kennedy wedding. The Boston Herald reported that Swift and boyfriend Conor Kennedy showed up uninvited to his cousin's wedding, even when the mother of the bride told them not to come. Swift's rep says the mom's story is false, adding that the bride thanked Swift profusely for being there. Gifford is the bride's step-grandmother. She was at the wedding and confirmed the mom's story on the "Today" show.

LORETTA LYNN

UNDATED (AP) -- Loretta Lynn isn't done making music. She tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that she wants to have more hits. She says "no one says anything anymore" in songs, "they need me out there." Lynn revealed that she is working on an album with Merle Haggard. She says she wants to record a song with him that he wrote called "Today I Started Loving You Again." Lynn is 80 years old.

LYNYRD SKYNYRD, OAK RIDGE BOYS TO PLAY AT RNC

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Oak Ridge Boys and Lee Greenwood are set to perform at events during the Republican National Convention. It takes place in Tampa, Florida, next week. Skynyrd is kicking it off on Sunday as part of a fundraising event. The Oaks will be performing the national anthem on Monday. Lee Greenwood will be taking the stage twice on Monday -- once during a private show for convention guests, and one open to the public at the local Hard Rock Cafe.

ERIC CHURCH, DIERKS BENTLEY TO PAY TRIBUTE TO LEVON HELM

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Eric Church says he can't possibly overstate what Levon Helm meant to his music or his life. So he's paying tribute to his friend at the "Love for Levon" benefit concert in New Jersey on October 3rd. Church will be joined by Dierks Bentley and many other artists including John Mayer, Gregg Allman, My Morning Jacket, Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams, and Joe Walsh of the Eagles. Helm died in April. He was 71.

NEIL PERRY LOVES PHOTOGRAPHY

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Band Perry's Neil Perry is a photography nut. It's great for the band, because he takes his camera on tour and captures a lot of behind the scenes moments. Neil says much like music, he likes taking people to a place where they forget all their troubles through his photos. His work is featured in a six-page spread in the new issue of Country Weekly.

SWIFT TO DO 'VH1 STORYTELLERS' AT WINNING SCHOOL

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Taylor Swift wants to share the stories behind her songs with a lucky school. She's holding a contest to determine where she'll tape an episode of "VH1 Storytellers." The show will air Sunday, November 11th. The contest is open to colleges and high schools in the U.S. and runs through September 23rd. Students can vote for their school at TaylorSwiftOnCampus.com Also, the top five schools with the most votes each get a $10,000 grant for their music departments.
