Friday Morning Entertainment Headlines

"THE X FACTOR"

UNDATED (AP) -- Next stop for "The X Factor" -- Miami! Auditions are over for season-two and boot camp will begin in Florida next week. On last night's show, the judges loved 13-year-old Trevor Moran, who sang "Sexy and I Know It." Demi Lovato said he was so cute. The judges also gave thumbs-up to a 16-year-old girl, whose husky voice surprised them. At 540-pounds Freddie Combs also makes it. The Tennessee minister auditioned in his wheelchair. He's down from more than 900 pounds in 2009. Simon Cowell says he hopes the prospect of standing on-stage will inspire Combs.

"SONS OF ANARCHY" ACTOR WAS JUST OUT OF JAIL WHEN HE ALLEGEDLY KILLED LANDLADY AND THEN DIED HIMSELF

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The guy who played "Half-Sack" in "Sons of Anarchy" was released from jail a week before being found dead in his driveway after police say he apparently killed his landlady. Johnny Lewis was sent to jail after pleading no contest to assault with a deadly weapon and attempted burglary in separate cases this year. He was also in a drug, alcohol and psychiatric treatment program over the summer. Police say he's the only suspect in the death of Catherine Davis. They say it appears she was beaten. She was 81. Police say Lewis died when he either jumped or fell after climbing to the top of the house where he'd been renting a room.

"LOOPER" - JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT

TORONTO (AP) -- "Looper" is Joseph Gordon-Levitt's type of movie. It's an action-filled sci-fi flick that also makes you think. He says when he sees a movie he wants "a fun time," but he also wants something to talk about afterward. He says he doesn't want to just leave the theater and wonder where he's going to eat. Gordon-Levitt says he wants a movie to give him something to think about and maybe to keep thinking about. "Looper" opens today.

"HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA" - ADAM SANDLER

TORONTO (AP) -- Even though he's the voice of Dracula and Selena Gomez is the voice of his daughter, Adam Sandler could relate to the father-daughter relationship in "Hotel Transylvania." He understands how a father has to "let go a little bit" and how it feels to see your daughter grow up. He says "it breaks your heart to see a dad struggling" with the fact that his daughter isn't his little girl anymore. Even though his daughters Sadie and Sunny are just six and three, he says he can even relate to what it'll feel like when they start dating. Hotel Transylvania opens today.

"FRINGE" RETURNS TONIGHT

BEVERLY HILLS (AP) -- "Fringe" returns for its fifth and final season tonight. Anna Torv is surprised it lasted this long. She says she never thought she'd still be talking about Fringe "five years down the track." When she got the job, she says she didn't know what the show was going to be about and she jokes that she doesn't know if the series creator did either. There will be 13 episodes this season and that's it.

"666 PARK AVENUE" - TERRY O'QUINN

BEVERLY HILLS (AP) -- Terry O'Quinn's new show "666 Park Avenue" is about people making deals with the devil, but he says he doesn't think he'd ever be tempted. Even when he was a struggling actor, O'Quinn says he doesn't think he would've made a deal to become famous. He ended up doing it on his own by starring in "The Stepfather" and then "Lost." His new series premieres Sunday on ABC.

"GMA" HAS BIGGEST RATINGS LEAD OVER "TODAY" IN 18 YEARS

NEW YORK (AP) -- "Good Morning America" is pulling away from the "Today" show in the ratings. The latest figures show the gap is the biggest in 18 years. GMA averaged nearly five million viewers last week. That's nearly a million more than the Today show. And they didn't even have Robin Roberts co-hosting. GMA has beaten Today every week since the London Olympics.
