MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Cooking buffs will get a chance to prepare a 19th-century meal at a southeastern Wisconsin historical site.

Wade House, an 1860s-era stagecoach inn in Greenbush, will host the dinner on Jan. 12. Participants will chop, stir, season and roast such delicacies as squash soup, pork loin roast, mashed turnips, cranberry muffins and bread pudding in a simulation of stagecoach travelers' midday meal.

Participants will then get to sit down in the Wade House dining room and consume their culinary creations. When they're done they'll have to clear the table, wash the dishes and sweep the hearth.

Tickets cost $45 per person.
