Madison man charged with OWI 5th offense

At approximately 1:06 a.m. a Dane County Sheriff’s Office deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Moorland Road and Rimrock Road in the Town of Madison. The 1997 Ford Expedition had been parked illegally and was obstructing traffic.

The driver, Bruce W. Southall, 31, of Madison, was determined to be under the influence of intoxicants and was subsequently arrested for OWI 5th offense. He was also charged with felony Bail Jumping for violating his bail conditions on a pending OWI 5th case in Rock County.

Southall was booked into the Dane County Jail on the felony charges.
