`STAND UP TO CANCER'

NEW YORK (AP) -- Taylor Swift was one of the stars standing up to cancer. Michael Douglas, Matt Damon, Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts and Gwyneth Paltrow are just some of the other celebs to take part in the "Stand Up to Cancer" telethon Friday evening. Swift dedicated her performance to a young cancer victim who died last year. She sang a new song called "Ronan" that she wrote after reading his mom's blog. The tune is available on iTunes, and the proceeds will go to cancer-related charities.

BRANTLEY GILBERT FLIPS OUT IN NEW MUSIC VIDEO

UNDATED (AP) -- Brantley Gilbert doesn't need a stunt double. He does a back flip from the roof of a car onto the hood in his new music video for "Kick It In The Sticks." It happens around the two minute mark. Gilbert tells CountryWeekly.com that he was going to do it with a guitar, but his guitar player talked him out of it.

JOSH TURNER TAKES FANS ON TOUR

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Josh Turner is taking his fans on tour with him. He has released a new live album, called "Josh Turner: Live Across America." It's available exclusively through Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores. Turner took a Pro-Tools rig on the road and recorded every show for four months. He says he picked the 12 "most magical performances" and put them on this CD. It has a bunch of his greatest hits, along with a few others that he says "fan can sink their teeth into."

CHRIS YOUNG TO LAUNCH LIQUID NEON TOUR

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Chris Young is kicking off his Liquid Neon headlining tour at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium. The show takes place on November 15th with special guests Thomas Rhett and Joanna Smith. Young grew up right outside of Nashville and says he is so grateful for the support of his hometown crowd. According to him, saying he's excited for this show is "an obvious understatement." Tickets go on sale Friday.

KEITH URBAN TALKS 'AMERICAN IDOL'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Keith Urban says he would love to be a judge on "American Idol" and hopes it happens. He made the comments during a question and answer session with local students at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The Tennessean reports that Urban told the crowd he did something similar recently for the Australian version of "The Voice," and he really enjoyed it. He credits an Australian talent contest for launching his own music career.

GLORIANA: 'CAN'T SHAKE' A BREAK-UP

UNDATED (AP) -- Gloriana's Tom Gossin says the group's new single is about not being able to get an ex off your mind after a break-up. He co-wrote "Can't Shake You" and says "most people have been in this situation and can relate." The tune is featured on Gloriana's latest album, "A Thousand Miles Left Behind."
