MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- According to the Wisconsin State Journal, state prison guards are considering whether to break away from the Wisconsin State Employees Union. A guard says he's filed more than 1,900 signatures demanding a new bargaining unit for about 5,800 prison workers, game wardens and other state employees classified as security and public safety workers.

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (AP) -- The Brookfield salon where three women were shot to death in October is open again. The Azana salon and spa reopened Saturday. It's been fully redecorated and there's a granite memorial outside with the names of the three who were killed by the estranged husband of one of the women.

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating the cause of a funeral home fire in West Allis. There were three bodies at the Schramka-Borgwardt Funeral Home when it burned Friday night but they were in refrigeration and weren't harmed. They've been taken to other funeral homes.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The wolf hunt has ended in another Wisconsin harvest zone. Officials closed the hunt in Zone 1 in far northwest Wisconsin after its quota of 32 wolves was reached over the weekend. The DNR says wolf hunters and trappers should check daily for additional closures.
