RYAN SEACREST - FIGHT BETWEEN MINAJ AND CAREY WENT "TOO FAR"

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Ryan Seacrest describes the fight between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey during "American Idol" auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina as "a very heated, intense argument." Video on TMZ.com shows Minaj throwing F-bombs toward Carey, saying she wasn't going to put up with "her (expletive) highness." Carey shot back that she can't see her kids because Minaj was acting "like a little crazy bitch." Seacrest said on his radio show (102.7 KIIS-FM Los Angeles/Clear Channel) that the fight went "too far." So far, that producers postponed the rest of the auditions to the next day.

"THE X FACTOR"

UNDATED (AP) -- Tara Simon was showing off more than her talent on "The X Factor." Simon Cowell told Tara her short skirt revealed more than she expected. But she makes it through, after doing "Somebody To Love." So do both singers who did back-to-back versions of "I Will Always Love You." Willie Jones continues to impress. He's the deep-voiced black teen who sings country. The daughter of Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed also makes it through to the next round. About 120 wannabes made it to Boot Camp, half were cut last night. More cuts are to come tonight.

"SURVIVOR: PHILIPPINES"-ANGIE OUT

UNDATED (AP) -- The beauty queen bites the dust. Former Miss Utah Teen USA, Angie Layton, was voted off "Survivor: Philippines" last night. It wasn't just a bad night for her, but her tribe as well. They've lost three-straight Immunity Challenges, while the other tribes haven't been to Tribal Council once this season. Angie was in tears as she pleaded with her tribemates not to vote her out. But she doesn't have any hard feelings. She says she'll be rooting for her tribe. Angie adds that her brief experience on Survivor has taught her how blessed her life has been.

"TAKEN 2" - LIAM NEESON

NEW YORK (AP) -- Liam Neeson can't believe how crazy fans of "Taken" get when they meet him. He says "16 to 20-year old kids, boys and girls" go nuts. Neeson says it makes him feel like one of the Beatles. "Taken 2" opens tomorrow.

"NASHVILLE" - CONNIE BRITTON

BEVERLY HILLS (AP) -- Connie Britton knows she's no singer, but there she is belting out country tunes in the new series "Nashville." She says it's been "a great adventure." She says she's still learning "how to approach a song." For the time being, she says she's letting the music guide her. "Nashville" premieres October 10.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The label that Taylor Swift and other country stars record for is teaming up with ABC to provide music from the series "Nashville" each week. "CHICAGO FIRE"

BEVERLY HILLS (AP) -- David Eigenberg is having a blast playing a firefighter in the upcoming series "Chicago Fire." "Chicago Fire" premieres October 10 on NBC.
