GUNS N' ROSES DRAWS CRITICISM IN VEGAS
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A county commissioner in Las Vegas says she regrets the board's decision to rename a street after Guns N' Roses after seeing a suggestive concert poster for the band. The poster is based on the original "Appetite for Destruction" cover, only the woman's breast is covered and the underwear that was around her ankles is gone. Women's groups say it still implies violence against women. The Las Vegas Sun quotes Commissioner Mary Beth Scow as saying she didn't know about the poster before county leaders voted to temporarily rename Paradise Road to Paradise City Road in honor of Guns N' Roses' run of shows in Las Vegas. The band has not responded to requests for comment.

DAVE STEWART CREATES NEW TV SHOW FOR REBA McENTIRE
LOS ANGELES (AP) — It doesn't seem like Dave Stewart of Eurythmics would have a lot in common with Reba McEntire, but he's created a new sitcom for her. Stewart co-created, and is the executive producer of "Malibu Country," which premieres tomorrow on ABC. It's about a country singer who cheats on his wife, so she leaves him and moves the family from Nashville to their last remaining asset, a house in Malibu. Stewart says he was inspired when he first stayed in Nashville a few years ago. He didn't think McEntire would agree to play the lead, but Stewart just happened to sit next to her stepson on a plane and got the script to her.

They shot the video for that song in Detroit last week and it comes out when the single does. COLTON DIXON RELEASES NEW SINGLE
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) — "American Idol" finalist Colton Dixon didn't try to hide his Christianity on the show. He just found more opportunities to talk about it as the show went on. Dixon says he never wanted to push it down people's throats. Dixon has put out a new single called "You Are," which he wrote about God, but he says he loves hearing how people interpret that song to mean other things. He's planning a full album in January or February which he says will be faith-based but influenced by the sounds of Coldplay and Switchfoot.
