CMA AWARD NOMINATIONS SET FOR SEPT. 5 IN NYC

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum are heading to New York next month to announce the nominees for the Country Music Association Awards. They will reveal the nominees in five categories on ABC's "Good Morning America." They'll read the rest of the list later that morning at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square. It's the first time the nominations have been announced entirely in New York since 2005. The CMA Awards will air November 1st in Nashville, hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.

GRAMMY NOMINATIONS CONCERT TO BE HELD IN NASHVILLE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- All eyes will be on Nashville to find out this year's Grammy nominees. The Recording Academy is holding its live nominations concert in Music City. The show will air December 5th on CBS. This is the fifth year for the nominations to be announced with a live concert and the first time it will be done outside Los Angeles. The Grammys will be February 10th in L.A.

TAYLOR SWIFT VISITS GRAVE OF CONOR KENNEDY'S MOM

BARNSTABLE, Mass. (AP) -- Taylor Swift is helping her boyfriend, Conor Kennedy, deal with his mother's recent death. Swift joined several members of his family to visit Mary Kennedy's grave on Cape Cod. The couple held hands and at one point appeared to bow their heads in prayer. Mary Kennedy hanged herself in May. She was 52. Conor's dad is Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

TAYLOR SWIFT: IGNORANCE IS BLISS

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Don't believe everything you read online about Taylor Swift. She doesn't. In fact, she says she avoids all stories about her personal life, because doesn't want to become obsessed with all the untrue rumors. Swift says it helps her lead a happier life.

RASCAL FLATTS LAUNCHING THEME RESTAURANTS

UNDATED (AP) -- Rascal Flatts is getting into the restaurant business. They've formed the Rascal Flatts Restaurant Group with a couple partners and are developing theme restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada. They plan to open their first location in Phoenix next year. Ten other locations around the country are in the works and expected to open by 2014. A press release on the website RascalFlattsRG.com says the Phoenix restaurant will be 14,000 square feet, and feature a state-of-the-art soundstage, an indoor-outdoor bar and retail space.

MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS ANNOUNCE FIRST PERFORMERS, PRESENTERS

NEW YORK (AP) -- Fans looking to hear more of Taylor Swift's new music don't have to wait until her album comes out in October. She'll be performing a new track at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 6th. Swift says in a video promo for the awards that it's "such a different song" than anything she's ever put out before. Miley Cyrus and the "Fierce Five" members of the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team are among the presenters.

AARON LEWIS GOLF TOURNEY RAISES MONEY FOR COMMUNITY CENTER

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Aaron Lewis has raised over $150,000 for a community education center in Worthington, Massachusetts. He did it by holding the first ever Aaron Lewis Invitational Charity Golf Tournament nearby. The donation makes sure the center can stay open for the area's children.

STARS SING LITTLE BIG TOWN'S 'PONTOON' IN NEW VIDEO

UNDATED (AP) -- Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Lady Antebellum are just a few of the country stars singing Little Big Town's song "Pontoon" in a new video. They're filmed in various locations ranging from a recording studio to a kid's wading pool. But all of them are having fun doing it. Miranda Lambert and the Pistol Annies are wearing shades and drinking beer. Darius Rucker shows off his dance moves and his signature laugh. Little Big Town's new album featuring the single comes out September 11th.
