Wednesday Morning Country Music Headlines

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) -- Little Big Town is out with a new album this week -- but even as they are marking their latest achievement as a group, they are remembering the help they got from their fellow country artist for the video for their first single. The clip in support of "Pontoon" features cameos from Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert's Pistol Annies, and Luke Bryan. And members of Little Big Town members are still awed by that. Jimi Westbrook says it's "so flattering" that so many took time from their schedules to fit in the video shoot. Besides, Westbrook says the "video is so cool" because it has parts that "just make you smile." The new album from Little Big Town is titled "Tornado."

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- It's not just a good voice that will catch Blake Shelton's attention. Some butt-slapping works, too. Shelton was quick to turn around on last night's edition of "The Voice," as Casey Muessigmann did "Sweet Home Alabama." Shelton was also impressed by Casey's cowboy hot, boots and his butt-slapping dance moves while he sang. Shelton even got him to do it again. Casey, who's a former college wrestler, also got a vote from Cee Lo Green. But Casey decides to go with Team Blake. Blake's team also picks up Julio Cesar Castillo. He did a version of "La Bamba" and is also the first singer on the show to do a song entirely in Spanish.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Can you possibly get too much of Blake Shelton? The answer may come today -- and it will be closely watched by TV insiders and fans alike. Tonight, NBC is airing another edition of "The Voice" -- the third in three days. Shelton is one of the team leaders, along with Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine. The network is trying to gin up competition with "The X Factor" -- by putting it on opposite the Fox show for an hour tonight. Some critics, among them X Factor creator Simon Cowell says that's overkill -- and that viewers will get tired of seeing the show so much. We'll find out if that's so next week -- when the ratings for the head-to-head battle are released.

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) -- Heard of Wikileaks? How about Yoakam-leaks? The singer is rolling out some of his music this week -- in dribs and drabs. He will let fans listen to one new track a day from his upcoming album, "3 Pears." To check out the songs, go to his Web site. Yoakam produced the album himself -- with Beck pitching in two songs as a co-producer. If you want the album as a "flood" instead of a leak, the full album drops on September 18.

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) -- When The Roys hit the road -- their tour bus will be slamming, thanks to an arrangement with an energy drink company. They have a deal with Team RealTree Outdoor Energy Drink to promote the product. Their bus is tricked out with images of the brother and sister duo -- as well as pictures of the energy drink. The duo's new EP is number two on the bluegrass albums chart last week. It's called "New Day Dawning."
