BEYONCE' WILL DO SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW

NEW YORK (AP) -- Beyonce' will be the halftime entertainment at the next Super Bowl in New Orleans. The NFL confirms the news and Beyonce has posted a photo of herself with the date of the Super Bowl - February 3, 2013 - written in her eye black. Beyonce' has been to the Super Bowl before. She sang the national anthem at the 2004 Super Bowl in Houston, the year of Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction."

BEATLES SCRABBLE

CARLSBAD, Calif. (AP) -- Normally "Beatle" with an "a" would not be an allowable word in Scrabble, but it will in the new version. A Beatles-themed version of Scrabble will have art based on The Beatles' "Anthology" releases, with green apples on the Triple Word Score squares. It can be played with normal Scrabble rules or with Beatles rules that allow for Beatles-related words and use "Help!" cards for twists like swapping tiles with other players. Beatles Scrabble is on sale now for about $30.

THE VINES SINGER ARRESTED

SYDNEY (AP) -- The Vines singer Craig Nicholls has been arrested for assaulting his parents and a police officer. The Sydney Morning Herald quotes police as saying Nicholls punched his mother twice in the head Saturday and tried to run from police before officers used pepper spray to subdue him. Nicholls has Asperger syndrome, which forced The Vines to cancel tours in 2008. Nicholls will appear in court today.

ARLO GUTHRIE'S WIFE DIES

WASHINGTON, Mass. (AP) -- Arlo Guthrie is calling off his shows this week because his wife has died. Guthrie's wife, Jackie, had inoperable cancer and died Sunday at their home in Sebastian, Florida. She was 68. They were married 43 years and had four children together. Jackie also had a daughter with David Crosby. Guthrie plans to resume his tour in Canada next week.

"THE VOICE" BLASTS THROUGH BATTLE ROUNDS

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Christina Aguilera pulled the fake-out steal during "The Voice" last night. Team Adam chose Kayla Nevarez over Alessandra Guercio. Aguilera went on a rant about Guercio being classically trained and how she herself started on "The Mickey Mouse Club" - then pushed her button for the surprise steal. Aguilera also kept Latina singer Laura Vivas. R-and-B singer Michelle Brooks-Thompson advanced on Team Adam. Team Blake kept country singer Liz Davis. Team Cee Lo held onto Mycle Wastman and Mackenzie Bourg.

KARDASHIAN ODOM, LOPEZ WILL HOST "THE X FACTOR"

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Simon Cowell says, "The worst kept secret in Hollywood is out." Khloe Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez will co-host "The X Factor." Both say they're big fans of the show. Their first day of work will be the first live competition show on November 1.

JUSTIN BIEBER GETS ADIDAS DEAL

LONDON (AP) -- Justin Bieber is the new face of Adidas. He will appear in the ad campaign for the company's NEO label for two years, with the first ads appearing in February. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
