GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- A 24-year-old Green Bay man who's serving a life sentence for the death of his 4-month-old son is making a third attempt to clear his name. A lawyer for Jeremiah Felton is asking an appeals court to reconsider a ruling that upheld his first-degree intentional homicide conviction.

MENOMONIE, Wis. (AP) -- Dunn County authorities say a Minnesota woman and her 23-month-old daughter are lucky to be alive after their car drove into an icy river. Investigators say the 21-year-old fell asleep at the wheel yesterday and drove over an embankment and onto the ice before the car partially submerged.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- About a dozen Wisconsin National Guardsmen are getting ready to go to Afghanistan. Members of Guard's agribusiness development team will spend time teaching farmers and herders how to be more efficient.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Three state parks are planning to hold candlelight skis and hikes this weekend that will end with hot drinks, hot food, a bonfire and free marshmallows for roasting. A number of state parks will offer similar events through late February.
