MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The University of Wisconsin System regents are set to meet tomorrow to consider whether to admit a higher percentage of out-of-state students. The proposal would raise the cap on non-resident undergraduate enrollment from 25 percent to 30 percent.
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance is planning to build a new office tower in downtown Milwaukee. The 840,000-square-foot building could be more than 30 stories.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin environmental officials are asking residents to do what they can to cut down on holiday waste. Household trash typically climbs about 25 percent between Thanksgiving and New Year's as families dispose of gift wrap, decorations, packaging, disposable plates and leftover food.
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Milwaukee and Madison aren't the only Midwestern cities contending with an unusual lack of snow. The National Weather Service says Lincoln, Nebraska, Omaha, Nebraska and Des Moines, Iowa are all breaking records for the longest continuous stretch without measurable snow.
