EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) -- Western Wisconsin authorities arrested an Illinois driver who led officers on a high-speed chase across four counties. Monday's pursuit also included a short detour into a corn field before the 40-year-old was arrested when deputies used spike strips to deflate his tires.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Preliminary data from Wisconsin natural resources officials shows that hunters killed nearly 244,000 deer during the state's nine-day gun season. That's up almost 8 percent from last year's preliminary count.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin tourism officials say more than 130 people have begun updating the state's Snow Conditions Report. That data includes conditions for snowmobiling, downhill skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Governor Scott Walker is searching for a replacement for the Oneida County Sheriff. Jeffrey Hoffman is retiring next month. The new sheriff will finish his term, which expires in January 2015.
