TOWN OF SCOTT, Wis. (AP) -- A 98-year-old man died yesterday after he was hit by a van while he was retrieving his mail along a Sheboygan County road. Erhard Klug, of rural Random Lake, accidentally stepped into the path of the oncoming vehicle.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Milwaukee's days away from setting a record for a lack of measurable snowfall. The National Weather Service says the city hasn't had measurable snow since March 4th, making it the 276th day without the white stuff. MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Police across Wisconsin are stepping up drunk driving patrols as part of their "Booze and Belts" campaign. Officials say they'll kick off the crackdown on Friday to try to find impaired drivers and people who are behind the wheel without their seatbelts fastened.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- State wildlife officials will hold an online chat today about cougars. The big cats are leaving western states and moving into the Midwest.
