MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Traffic deaths rose slightly in Wisconsin in March.
Thirty-three people died during the month, two more than March one year ago and five more than the five-year average.
The death toll so far this year is 103 people through the end of March, down from last year.
State transportation officials say the numbers are preliminary. They urge drivers to refrain from using cell phones to avoid distractions.
